Computer Science

To develop and promote a love of technology, striving for students to succeed in making themselves confident, proud and safe users by building fundamental skills they need for their futures across Computer Science, Digital Literacy and Online Safety.

Dance

To develop and promote a lifelong love of physical activity to improve social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

English

To foster a love and appreciation of texts and English Language through increasingly challenging material. Key reading and writing skills are built and deepened along the student's journey, leading them to become critical thinkers, readers and writers.

Enterprise & Marketing

To develop an understanding of the skills that are needed to run a business and become a successful entrepreneur including completing market research, assess financial viability and use presentational skills to promote a product. 

Food & Nutrition

To equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to cook and apply the principles of healthy eating, nutrition, budgeting and food hygiene.

Geography

To build students' awe and wonder at the physical and human world, learning about the interplay of place, landscapes and process in both the physical and human worlds.

Health & Social Care

To develop an understanding of the fundamental principles of individuals' rights and person-centred values, communicating effectively and understanding how to protect individuals in health and social care settings.

History

To enlighten and fascinate students by use of an enquiry approach to build historical knowledge and skills, which help students understand past events and different interpretations of them, including challenging stereotypes.

iMedia

Learning for Life

To prepare our students for living in the wider world where they can make informed choices for a healthy, happy and successful future. Learning For Life incorporates Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), Citizenship and Careers Education.

Maths

To develop confident, numerate students who are able to analyse and problem solve in different scenarios by building their mathematical skills to see links between various topic areas and use mathematics in everyday contexts.

Media Studies

To develop their creative, analytical, research and communication skills, through exploring a range of media forms and perspectives.

MFL

To develop a lifelong love of language learning as well as promoting transferrable skills such as independence, communication, adaptability, confidence, problem solving and leadership. By developing cultural awareness, they can understand and appreciate others and become a valuable global citizen.

Music

To deliver a broad and ambitious music curriculum, rich in skills and knowledge, which ignites curiosity and prepares them well for future learning or employment.

Performing Arts

To deliver a broad and ambitious Performing Arts curriculum, which embeds skills and knowledge of the performance process, which allows them to develop a love of the performance arts.

Religious Education

To enlighten students on a breadth of religions, practices and philosophical questions, building knowledge and skills that help students understand religions and beliefs - or lack of.

Science

To prepare our young people for life in an increasingly scientific and technological world by developing transferable higher-level thinking skills, building science capital for all and inspiring students to continue to use science in their everyday life.

Sociology

To develop students' understanding of the interactions between individuals and societal structures and to what extent our agency as humans is shaped by our society and vice versa.
