At Prenton High School, we are committed to providing an ambitious, inclusive and high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme that empowers every student to explore opportunities, develop essential employability skills and make informed decisions about their future.

Our progressive careers programme for Years 7–11 is embedded throughout the curriculum and wider school experience. Through careers education, employer encounters, workplace experiences, enterprise activities, personalised guidance and our Unifrog careers platform, students gain the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to navigate an ever-changing world of work.
Aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks and informed by local and national labour market information, our approach connects classroom learning with real-world opportunities. We work collaboratively with employers, further and higher education providers, training organisations and our wider community to broaden aspirations and ensure students understand the full range of post-16 pathways, including A levels, T Levels, apprenticeships and vocational qualifications.
Our Prenton Careers Model supports students on a progressive journey from Year 7 Discover → Year 8 Explore → Year 9 Connect → Year 10 Experience → Year 11 Transition, helping every young person recognise their strengths, explore possibilities, develop transferable skills and prepare confidently for their next steps.
Through meaningful careers experiences, student reflection and impartial guidance, we aim to ensure that every student leaves Prenton High School equipped to make informed choices, embrace opportunities and achieve their ambitions.
