From September 2025, we have a minor change to the design of our shirts. Students will wear a plain blue rever blouse, which can be purchased from the Wirral Uniform Centre.

Uniform

  • Prenton High School blazer with school house colour on the pocket.
  • A plain blue revere blouse for all students in Years 7 to Year 10. Year 11 students wear a plain pink short sleeved, open necked blouse. The Student Senior Leadership Team wear a white, short sleeved, open necked blouse.
  • Optional navy blue school jumper or cardigan with or without the school logo.
  • School shoes should be plain, black without bows. Trainers, Converse, Vans and boots are not allowed.
  • Navy blue A-Line or multi-pleat knee length school skirt or navy blue tailored trousers – pinafores are not allowed.
  • Navy blue or black tights and navy or white socks – bows and frills are not allowed. White sports socks are permitted on PE days only.

Appearance

  • Earrings: Students may wear one set of small, plain studs in the ear lobes only. No other piercings are permitted.
  • Hair: Hair colour must be natural, and styles should be appropriate for school.
  • Accessories: Bows and decorative items are not allowed. Headbands and bobbles must be plain, preferably navy blue or black.
  • Jewellery: The only jewellery permitted is a watch. Smartwatches may be worn but should only be used to check the time during the school day.
  • Nails and Lashes: Nail varnish, nail extensions, and false lashes are not allowed. Students will be asked to remove them if worn.
  • Makeup: Should be minimal and discreet.

P.E. Kit

The following are compulsory:

  • Prenton High School polo shirt.
  • Prenton High School skort, shorts or leggings (all require the school badge and logo).
  • Trainers – Please ensure that your child has correct trainers for P.E. Pumps and Converse are not allowed.

The following are optional:

  • Navy blue hooded sweatshirt with school badge and logo.
  • Navy blue Prenton High School 3/4 zip training top with school badge and logo.
  • Plain navy blue P.E. jogging bottoms (or Prenton High School navy blue leggings with school badge and logo (no logos, brand names or stripes).
  • Hair must be tied up for all P.E. lessons.
  • Earrings (or any other form of jewellery) cannot be worn for P.E. and must be removed before all lessons, plasters cannot be used to cover them up. Students must therefore, not have their ears pierced during the academic year.
  • Bed socks are not permitted to be worn in school.
