We are proud to introduce the Aspire+ Programme, a prestigious initiative for selected high-performing Year 10 students at Prenton High School.
Aspire+ is designed to stretch and challenge our most academically able learners by encouraging independent thinking, deeper learning, and high-level research outside of the standard curriculum. Students selected for the programme have the unique opportunity to explore a topic area of their choice in greater depth, working collaboratively with peers and supported by expert guidance from university student mentors.

A Year of Growth and Discovery
Throughout the academic year, students take part in a range of enriching experiences designed to inspire, challenge and prepare them for life beyond secondary education. As part of this journey, they:
- Choose a topic of personal academic interest to investigate
- Work within a research group to explore this topic in depth
- Are mentored by university students to support their development
- Present their findings in a formal academic setting
Why Aspire+?
Participation in Aspire+ is a mark of distinction. It recognises students for their academic potential and commitment to learning. The programme not only boosts students’ current academic achievement but also helps them build the skills and aspirations necessary for future success—especially in preparation for college, university, and beyond.
We are incredibly excited to see what our current students will achieve as part of this inspiring programme.
