Our clubs and enrichment provision plays a vital role in ensuring every student feels a sense of belonging within #TeamPrenton. Through Student Life & Leadership, we are committed to providing accessible opportunities for all students, with a wide range of clubs available not only after school, but also during lunchtime to remove barriers linked to transport, caring responsibilities or confidence. This inclusive approach has resulted in over 31% of students engaging in intervention and enrichment clubs across the school.
We actively promote clubs and opportunities through social media, whole-school emails, student briefings, tutor notices, digital displays and dedicated enrichment brochures published each half term. By celebrating participation and regularly sharing student achievements, we continue to raise the profile of enrichment as a key part of school life.
Student voice and staff voice are central to the development of our provision. Students regularly suggest new clubs and activities through surveys and leadership discussions, while staff are consulted to identify interests, talents and opportunities they can share with students. This collaborative approach has helped us build a diverse and evolving programme that reflects the needs and passions of our school community.
A significant proportion of staff generously volunteer their own time to run clubs, activities, intervention sessions and enrichment experiences each week. Their commitment provides students with opportunities to develop confidence, leadership, teamwork, creativity and wider life skills beyond the classroom, supporting both personal development and academic success.
