Student Leadership: Inspiring Futures and Raising Aspirations
At Prenton High School, our Student Careers Champions play a key leadership role in promoting careers education, raising aspirations and ensuring that student voice helps shape our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme.
As ambassadors for careers and future opportunities, our Careers Champions help inspire their peers to explore different career pathways, develop essential employability skills and make informed decisions about their futures.
Working alongside our Personal Development team, Careers Champions actively promote careers events, employer encounters, work experience opportunities, apprenticeships, further education and the use of Unifrog. They help make careers information accessible, relevant and engaging for students across all year groups.
Our Careers Champions also play an important role in student voice and leadership, gathering feedback from their peers, identifying areas of interest and helping to influence the development of our careers provision. Through their involvement, they develop valuable transferable skills, including communication, teamwork, organisation, confidence and leadership.
By championing opportunities and encouraging others to think positively about their futures, these student leaders help embed careers education into everyday school life.
Our Careers Champions embody our commitment to student leadership: Belong, Be Heard, Lead — empowering students to shape their own futures while inspiring others to achieve their ambitions.
